Touch Ups Bodywork Repairs is a independent vehicle bodywork and alloy wheel repairer who have been serving both individual customers and traders in Kent and the surrounding areas for nearly 20 years.
We are proud of both the bodyshop and mobile services we offer and we take pride in all our work so why should you work for us?  
At Touch Ups Bodywork Repairs we are adding to our specialist kit on a regular basis.  This is to ensure we always offer the best services to our customers and to make sure our staff are always learning new skills.  
There are many companies which do what we do however, they are not us.  Because we are a small company (but larger than some!) we are able to ensure we adjust our working methods as and when we need to so we always have an element of flexibility within our business which allows both our company and our employees to grow.

Job Description


Role and Responsibilities

Touch Ups are in search of an exceptional and motivated individual, with experience working within a either a Mobile Repairer or Bodyshop environment, to join their face paced and growing team as a SMART Repair/Paint Technician. 

You will be working with a small, dedicated team who pride themselves on the work they do.  As the role contains a mobile element, the same pride in your work is essential as is great attention to detail. Only applicants with prepping, dent repair and painting experience will be considered.

 

Key tasks involve (but not limited to):

·        Driving to and liaising with customers

·        Prep, mask & prime

·        Spraying and polishing

·        Fit & Strip

·        Dent Repairs

·        Ensuring no defects

·        Completing tasks on a customer site as agreed by your line manager

  

The ideal candidate should be/have the following:

·        Great time management/time keeping

·        Polite, honest, well-kept, hard-working and self-motivated

·        Good face to face communication skills

·        A full UK driving licence (held for a minimum of 1 year)

 

The Role:

Key Responsibilities involve:

1.      Ensuring the work is always completed to a high standard

2.      Ensuring your provided equipment is used safely at all times

3.      Ensuring the van & kit are kept clean and tidy to ensure an efficient working environment

4.      Ensuring good manners and communication at all times

5.      Requires the need to follow instructions to the letter.


Qualifications/Education/Experience

·        Minimum qualification of GCSE or equivalent at 9*-4 (A-C grade) in English and Maths.

·        Experience working within a wheel repair, SMART repair or Bodyshop environment is essential

·        A full UK driving licence (held for a minimum of 1 year) is preferred but not essential

Additional Notes

We operate Monday – Friday 08:00 – 17:00.  Saturdays and after hours working may be required from time to time to meet the needs of the business.

Touch Ups are in search of an exceptional and motivated individual to join their growing team as an Bodyshop Prep Technician. You will be working with a small, dedicated team who pride themselves on the work they do. As a Prep Technician with Touch Ups, you will be preparing damaged vehicles in line with the manufactures specifications, ready for repair/paint.

 

Key tasks involve (but not limited to):

·        Minor filler work

·        Surface prep – incl filling, sanding & cleaning surfaces

·        Prepping parts, prior to paint

·        Prepare/clean panels ready for primer

·        Priming

·        Prepping vehicles for paint

·        Polishing

·        Masking vehicles prior to painting

 

The ideal candidate should be/have the following:

·        Great time management/time keeping

·        Polite, honest, well-kept, hard-working and self-motivated

·        Good face to face communication skills

·        A full UK driving licence (held for a minimum of 1 year)

 

The Role:

1.      Involves numerous and varied activities on many different vehicles and customers

2.      As a Prep Technician within our Bodyshop you will be working as part of a close knit team

3.      Involves an admin element in which attention to detail is essential

4.      Demands good manners and communication at all times

5.      Requires the need to follow instructions to the letter.

Job Description


Role and Responsibilities

Touch Ups are in search of an exceptional and motivated individual to join their growing team as a Bodywork Trainee.  You will be working with a small, dedicated team who pride themselves on the work they do.  As a Trainee with Touch Ups, you will receive training and support from the whole team and will learn to remove, repair and replace damaged bodywork on a variety of vehicles, as your skills build. You will help to support the team both out on the road and within our bodyshop so no two days are the same.

 

Key tasks involve (but not limited to):

·        Learning to assess the extent to the vehicle damage

·        Learning to prep, mask and prime vehicles & wheels

·        Learn to remove and replace parts

·        Learn the right tools required and how to handle & maintain them

·        Repairing small dents & chipped paintwork

·        Liaising with customers both face to face and on the phone

·        Assisting with administration and kit cleaning duties

·        Driving a company van to/from customer sites

 

The ideal candidate should be/have the following:
